Boxers are high-energy dogs that need daily exercise and mental stimulation to stay healthy and well-behaved. They are extremely loyal and people-oriented, which means they may struggle with being left alone for long periods. Due to their short coat and brachycephalic (short-nosed) structure, Boxers are sensitive to extreme heat and cold and should be monitored closely in harsh weather.

Adopting a Boxer is a rewarding commitment. We get to know each dog’s personality and needs to ensure the best match for a forever home. Our process is simple—but may take time based on availability and fit.

Step 2: Connect
A volunteer will reach out to discuss your interest. We encourage meeting us at a PetVet Market adoption event.

Step 3: Home Visit & Trial
We’ll conduct a home visit (virtual is fine). Once approved, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet and short adoption trial to ensure the match is right—for you and the Boxer.
